Computational Biologist

Scroll
Tomorrow designs a protein before it ever builds one. As a Computational Biologist you work at the front of that: the models, the sequences, and the screens that decide which molecules are worth making at all.
The role
You'll own the computational pipeline that takes a taste we want and returns candidate sequences worth a bench. Structure prediction, sequence design, and the analysis that says which candidates have earned the wet lab's time.
What you'll do
Design and screen candidates in silico, build models that connect sequence to structure to what a person actually tastes, and close the loop with the protein team between what you predicted and what the tongue reported. Your job is to turn an enormous search space into a short list somebody can run on Monday.
What you'll bring
Strong computational biology or bioinformatics fundamentals, fluency in Python and the modern protein modeling stack, and the judgment to tell a real signal from a confident-looking artifact. You are comfortable owning a pipeline end to end rather than handing off a notebook.
Bonus points
De novo protein design, structure prediction, molecular dynamics, machine learning on biological sequence data, or previous work on receptor binding.
Where you'll be
This role is based in San Carlos or Los Angeles and works on site with the team. Tomorrow is small enough that the work happens in the room, and we would rather you were in it.
Why Tomorrow
Tomorrow designs proteins that carry taste, built from natural amino acids rather than found in a field. You'll work on ingredients that ship in products people actually buy, on a team small enough that you touch the whole problem, from the sequence to the label. The reason to come is the mission: a generation's health is decided at the table three times a day, and we would rather rebuild what is on it than argue about willpower.
How to apply for this role
Send us a note and anything that shows what you’ve made. No cover letter theatre. A person reads every one.
